Job Title: Modem firmware engineer
Position Overview:
Be part of innovative team which designs next generation Cellular 5G routers.
Closely involve with HW for designing, developing and integrating driver for RF frontend wireless modes.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and debug embedded driver software in C/C++ languages for 2G/3G/4G cellular systems.
Design and develop embedded RF test commands for both the RF Driver for 2G/3G/4G cellular systems.
Work with various cellular test callbox equipment to tune, test and calibrate LTE, 3G bands.
Writing unit test cases, design documents and procedure documents.
Pursue software source code quality goals.
Experience/Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in with cellular wireless system software design, implementation and test.
3 years Experience with development of firmware or RF Driver software using the C programming language, for at least one of the following technologies: GSM/EDGE, CDMA2000, WCDMA/HSPA, TD-SCDMA, and LTE.
Experience and knowledge with cellular wireless system design, implementation, test.
Experience with RF test equipment measurements for power, spectrum, and waveform quality in at least one of 2G/3G/4G cellular standards
Experience with embedded build systems including compiling, linking, loading, and executing firmware images
Experience with debugging embedded software using an in-circuit emulator (Lauterbach Trace32 JTAG) for an ARM processor
Experience with scripting using python.
Ability to work independently and autonomously to meet deadlines, in a fast-changing environment.
Education:
Required: Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred: Master\’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
